Meet the New Board

In April elections were held to select members to the board of directors for 10Bit Works. This group of 5 will lead our makerspace for the coming year.

President - Beans Conley, Treasurer - Bob Robinson, Secretary - Juan Develbiss, Eric Spehr - IT, and Ken Runner - Advisor.

The board is responsible for operation of the makerspace as a non-profit 501 c3 company. That includes the collection of funds and payment of bills, governance of the makerspace, and stewardship of the assets of the organization.

You should get to know the board members and share your thoughts on making 10Bit Works better. Members in the various functional areas can help improve their work areas and plan for new tools and equipment. Efforts are being made to improve communications with members and promote transparency with the finances of 10Bit Works.

PRESIDENT

TREASURER

Bob Robinson retired from Director of Innovation for the Lancer Corporation.  He continues to be active in design and Innovation.  He has been a member of 10Bit Works for a number of years because he enjoys the creativity and community of the makerspace.  He is leading the 3D Printing Group and organizing projects and events to promote the maker community.

SECRETARY

Juan Develbiss is a retired Geologist with experience woodworking and database management.  He has been a member of 10Bit Works for more than 4 years and is leading the Woodworking Group.  Juan spends a lot of time at the makerspace repairing equipment and doing projects in wood, ceramics, LASER and 3D printing.  He is committed to making 10Bit Works better for everyone.

IT SYSTEMS

Eric Spehr is a lifelong futurist. At a young age he used a computer and computers have been great tools for him, both professionally and for games.  About a decade ago Eric caught woodworking fever with a table saw and router.  Since then he has also become a fan of CNC and 3D fabrication.  He is delighted to be joining the board and is looking forward to fixing any pain points with members.

ADVISOR

Ken Runner is a former president of 10Bit Works who helped bring several groups together to grow the makerspace to what it is today at the W. Lachapell location. He is active in helping with projects at 10Bit Works and is serving as a valued advisor to the board of directors.
